DesertMont

When we first blended DesertMont we were using it as a dry rub.  As you can see in the picture we used it on Chicken Thighs with a little olive oil.  The taste was amazing and we have served it on Steak, Fish, Chicken, and Roasted Vegetables, adding a delicious and unique flavor to each one of them.

People have asked us how best to prepare the meat used.  We have baked them, grilled them, and even pan fried them and so far we have enjoyed each and every one of them.  The best answer is to tell you to prepare the meat the way you like it.  We personally prefer baked or grilled but many people enjoy pan fried as well.

In addition to using DesertMont as a dry rub, you can just sprinkle some onto various dishes thus making it a versatile spice that can add a subtle heat and depth of flavor to many dishes.

For the dish in the picture, we simply:

  • add a small spritz of olive oil to the chicken
  • used DesertMont as a dry rub and applied to all sides of the chicken
  • Baked the chicken in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 to 50 minutes (until thoroughly cooked to at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit in the thickest part of the chicken)
  • Serve and enjoy.
