We are often asked how we ended up in the spice business and what our first blending was, and those are questions we love to answer.
Our first blending was our family and that turned out pretty good if you ask us. While we were blending our family and learning new things about each others culture we started cooking together and found that each of us had some unique spice blends for various dishes. Over a short period of time friends and family commented on the aromas and taste of the food we would prepare when we had company. Then one evening while sipping a glass of wine and relaxing we came up with the idea of selling our blends online just to see where things would go.
So ZonaRico was born and became our third child, which leads to the next most often question of how did you come up with that name? While looking at names we finally settled on a name that represents where each of us were born and one we thought rolled nicely off the tongue. Zona represents Arizona and Rico represents Puerto Rico but the blending of our spices are from around the world. Some are old family recipes that we grew up with, while others are ones we came up with based on travels and spices brought home from around the globe.
We have continued our blending with unique names for each of our Gourmet Spice Blends.

As many of you can imagine or relate to us, we often end up working evenings. When this happens we like to move to what we call our evening office and here are a few views as to why we enjoy doing this.
Where shall we send your order?
Shipping within the United States is UPS ground or US Postal service. Shipping outside the UPS is via the US Postal service and their connections in your country.
Your payment is secure through Square as we utilize their service for payments.
We will not only place sales on our website, but we will also email you any sales that we have. Don’t worry you can always opt out.
We accept all credit card payments that Square supports.
